Sustainability

Caring for Mazatlán means caring for the reason we exist. At Royal Villas Hotel Group we operate under a simple promise: to leave the Pacific better than we found it, for those who come today and for those who will come tomorrow.

Ocean care
Beach cleaning programs, sea turtle protection, and progressive elimination of single-use plastics across all our operations.
Water and energy
Water-saving systems, LED lighting, and gradual migration to clean energy to reduce our footprint in every stay.
Local community
Local employment, sourcing from Sinaloa producers, and support for cultural and educational projects in Mazatlán.
Zero waste
Waste separation, organic composting, and donation of surplus food to minimize what we send to the landfill.
Royal Villas Hotel Group
Sustainability policy

At Royal Villas Hotel Group we understand that the privilege of operating on the Pacific carries the responsibility to protect it. We are therefore committed to managing our hotels under environmental, social, and economic sustainability criteria.

We work to prevent and reduce the impacts of our activity, use water and energy efficiently, manage our waste responsibly, protect Mazatlán's biodiversity, and generate value for our people and the community. This commitment translates into ten principles that guide our daily operation.

Commitment to the community

Labor inclusion · CAM #25
For 7 years, Royal Villas Hotel Group has maintained an agreement with Centro de Atención Múltiple 25, which trains young people aged 15 to 22 for life and work. To date, 56 young people have taken part, and one of them joined our team for outstanding performance.
Reviving communities · La Noria
Through our collaborators' volunteer work, we mobilize tourism to La Noria to preserve the region's cultural heritage: guests and visitors are delighted by the artisanal techniques for saddletrees, riding saddles, and huarache sandals.
Alliance against cancer · Grupo Compete Mazatlán
Royal Villas Hotel Group is part of this alliance of 17 companies in the port that recycles PET and caps, and receives hair braids for oncological wigs. Under the motto "It concerns all of us," hospitals and patients in the city benefited in 2018.

Environmental alliance · CIAD
Through an agreement with the Center for Research in Food and Development, we clean the Estero del Yugo, hold conservation talks, and promote bird-watching tourism.
Sustainable hospitality
Royal Villas Hotel Group's good environmental practices have generated significant savings in water, gas, and electricity, reducing our impact thanks to collaborators and guests.
